Artist Spotlight: Chelsea Weisel

Inspired Spaces Design House will feature the work of Chelsea Grace Weisel at our Wine & Design event, this Thursday from 4-7pm, where many of her incredible works are displayed and for sale.

Chelsea Weisel is a true artistic talent. She started painting at the age of three with morning art sessions at the kitchen table and this became the beginning of a passion. She later attended a Waldorf school where she incorporated art into each subject - experimenting with fiber arts, sculpture, metal work and watercolor techniques. While at college in Massachusetts, she minored in studio art and learned further by studying the masters and their techniques. The impressionist painters specifically taught her invaluable lessons on the use of color, brush technique, and the contrast of shadows and highlights. Painters like Monet, Pissarro and Renoir continue to be Chelsea's secret teachers, with their skillful use of color and lively imagery. Her favorite medium is acrylic painted in a watercolor technique.

In 2014, Chelsea graduated from Nutrition Therapy Institute with a certificate as a holistic nutritionist. And during the last year, this love for food and her passion for art has collided in a new series of paintings of fruits and vegetables. This new series is an act of passion - a passion for fresh food, healthy cooking and for painting before breakfast. Chelsea creatively combines her passions in her new series of fruit and vegetable paintings.

Her company, Honey Bee Well combines her love of fresh food, healthy cooking and painting. Many of her incredible works will be displayed and for sale at the Design House, where 10% of the entire evening’s sales will benefit Ceres Project. ceresproject.org

Ellie Cashman Artist Extrodinaire

Ellie Cashmans wallpaper designs are nothing but stunning and dramatic. We are lucky to showcase one of her prized pieces, Dark Floral II here in our showroom offices. Each of her designs is original work and feature her signature romantic floral prints. They are suited for a variety of spaces and easily transform a drab interior into a meaningful masterpiece. Ellie considers each of her designs a narrative of optimism and a celebration of beauty, believing that flowers are the ultimate symbol of hope and heartbreak. Even if you don't care for wallpaper, the sheer beauty of her work is likely to convert you.
